BIRTHDAY IS NOT A CHRISTIAN FESTIVITY

God’s word condemns birthday anniversaries.

Birthday celebration:
According to the World Book Encyclopedia (Volume 3, page 416), the early Christians did not celebrate birthdays, not even of Christ purported to be Christmas, because birthday celebration of anyone was a pagan custom.
The scriptures directly mentioned two cases of birthday celebrations. The first one was “Pharaoh’s birthday where he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. And he (Pharaoh) restored the chief butler to his butlership again; and he (butler) gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand: But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them”- Genesis 40:20-22

The second one is Herod Antipas’ birthday, recorded in Matthew 14:3-11. Here, John the Baptist got himself imprisoned for condemning Herodias’ divorce of Philip and subsequently her remarriage to Herod Antipas. “For John said unto him (Herod), It is not lawful for thee to have her.”  The scripture continues: “But when Herod’s birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias (which according to Josephus was called Salome- Antiquities of the Jews 17.5.4) danced before them, and pleased Herod. Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask. And she being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist’s head in a charger.” It was in this sense, process, that Herod sent, and beheaded John in the prison. In the primitive status of man, dancing developed from the human reactions in respect of the desire to imitate the movement of beasts, birds, including the sun and moon; the desire to express emotions by gestures; and gregarious impulses. Dancing was an act of worship. Babylon, now Iraq, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans used to dance half or full naked before the audience. According to the record in Esther 1:11-12, queen Vashti refused to perform such dance before her husband, king Ahasuerus. Romans introduced the Greek dance to Israel. Salome performed this dance. She danced half-naked, exposing her beauty before Herod and his guests. Her dancing was an act of worshipping Herod. This lured, enticed, Herod to grant her wish.
Job cursed the day of his birth. The scripture states: “After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day. And Job spake, and said, Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived. Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it. Let darkness and shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it”- Job 3:1-5. This curse emerged with the view in mind, or consideration of iniquity, of the fall of Adam and Eve, in which Job, and us, were conceived, and born, having sufficient reason to reflect the day with sorrow and shame. The day of birth marked the initiation to calamitous scene of life, for the glorification of God, to despise the dignity of our being, and to indulge a passion, which our own calm and sober thoughts will make us ashamed of. David, the son of Jesse wrote in Psalms 51:5 that: “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” That is, man was born or brought into this world with corrupt nature, wretchedly degenerated from its primitive purity and rectitude. Thus, we have from our birth the snares of sin in our bodies, the seeds of sin in our souls, and stains of sin generally. This is exactly, what is described as original sin. It is original because it is ancient. It is original because of all our actual transgression. Birth is traced from a congenital depravity, which according to the stipulation of the Gospel, demands seeking purity from God. The source of David’s life, and us generally were polluted as the streams. It has natural bent from birth towards sin. Jeremiah also cursed the day of his birth (Jeremiah 20:14-18).  The God of Israel had no displeasure on the celebration of birthdays. God killed all the ten children of Job (7 sons and 3 daughters) because of birthday celebration (Job 1:4-5, 6-13, 18-19). This was clear warning to those who celebrate birthdays and at the same time pretend to be Christians. Eternal death awaits them.
If the birthday of Moses would have been celebrated, then he would have been killed, for Pharaoh would have discovered his Hebrew root in the faster hand (Numbers 12:3). If the birthday of Christ could have been celebrated, then Herod the Great could have known where to find him, thus in the risk of killing him. Solomon, a wise king of Israel, wrote in Ecclesiastes 7:1 that: “A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.” The day of one’s birth is birthday, which brings sober and salutary thoughts to the heart of man. Birth ushered us into a world of so much sin and trouble, vanity and vexation. Birthday clogged the soul with the burden of the flesh. In clear sense, it is a period of toils and sorrows, removing us from rest. Death is liberation from those burdens. Those who died in Christ expect eternal rest. Jesus Ben Sirach wrote: “Great travail is created for every man, and an heavy yoke is upon the sons of Adam, from the day that they go out of their mother’s womb, till the day that they return to the mother of all things. Their imagination of things to come, and the day of death, [trouble] their thoughts, and [cause] fear of hearts” (Ecclesiasticus 40:1-2, Apocrypha).

Here is the description of the items involved in birthday celebration:
1.           Cap or hat. This is explained as witches’ cone of power. It represents the pyramid of illuminati, whose origin is in Egypt, and later spread to the world by the efforts of Roman Catholic.
2.           Round cake. Symbolic to sun-wheel, or sun worship in the Gentile primitive world. The cake appreciated a sun-wheel structure right at the entrance of St. Peter’s square in Vatican.  The cake also stood for the one eye, of the fallen angel regarded as the god of illuminati.
3.           Candles. This basically concerned the worship of stars. The children of Israel were warned, against of the worship of stars. The record in Deuteronomy 4:19-20 states: “And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and moon, and stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.” Satan was a fallen star, in which he got the name Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12-13). The name being Roman designated morning star, while the Hebrew counterpart helel meant bright one. The brightness of Satan speedily disappeared when he got himself banished in the outer darkness for staging rivalry against God (Jude 6; Revelation 12:7-9). Animated by unrelenting hatred against God and all goodness, Satan is engaged in a worldwide and age-long struggle against God, ever seeking to defeat the divine plans of grace toward mankind, and to seduce people to evil and ruin. Jesus Christ said in Luke 10:18, that: “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” Birthday is the worship rendered to Lucifer in this sense: Putting off the light of the candles revealed: (a) Satan’s expulsion from heaven when his glory was crushed, trampled over by God and his Christ; (b) the worship of the angel of  darkness in rejection of light. Light from the candles is put off, while darkness is welcomed to appreciate the evil kingdom of Satan. Satanic leaders and agents, are called rulers of darkness in Ephesians 6:12. When the chief priests, captains of the temple and elders came to take Christ in order to crucify him, he told them: “Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness” (Luke 22:52-53). Birthday is the hour in which those involved worship Satan and his power of darkness. Christ will bring to light the hidden things of darkness (1 Corinthians 4:5). Christians should have no fellowship with birthdays for they are unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). Romans 13:12 states: “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” (c) accepting the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2). When the flames are blown out then airy smoke emerged from the candles, which stood for Satan, and his angels called demons.
4.           Birthday wishes or gifts. Birthday wishes is not biblical. The scriptures have nothing to do with it. Primitively and even present birthday wishes is communicating to spirits- genie or jinn. Birthday gift is a sacrifice made to idol worship. It is initiation, or communing with the spirits of darkness.

Birthday is sun worship. Birthday is moon worship. Birthday is star worship. “Birthdays are Satanists’ highest of all holidays”- Anton Szandor LaVey (founder, high priest of the church of Satan and author of satanic bible), from satanic bible (Air), Book of Lucifer- The Enlightenment, Avon Books, 1969, Chapter XI Religious Holidays, page 96, regarding birthdays. Anton again spoke of the world to be pretending of Christian worship, yet parents, children and grownups had prepared one day respectively in their lifetime when they exalt, adore, worship Satan cryptically on birthday celebrations.
Paul the apostle wrote in 1 Corinthians 13:11 that: “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” The apostle described the maturity of a person from infancy to manhood. Children always desire to be adults, imitating what they do. But adults do not desire to be children. It is the stage they had passed and no one expect to revisit it. If this natural phenomenon stood the test of time, then why should we not apply it to birthdays? A child speaks, reasons, and assimilates knowledge to the level of his or her maturity. The stages of a person from childhood to adulthood convey mysteries. Spake… understood… thoughts in the speech of Paul can be explained in this manner: Spake is the use of tongue. The tongue of an infant is heavy to utter clear comprehensible words. Understood, based on Greek word ephronoun- sapiebam whence translated from, explained prophecy. Understood to a child is prophecy. The child learnt the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, in such an extraordinary way as manifested when out of the childish state. The stages of human growth are mysteries. No one, by his or her intelligence can comprehend it. Thoughts, based on the Greek word elogizomen explained knowledge. Children have narrow views, confused and indistinct notions of things in comparison to grownups. Naturally, when a child reached maturity, adult proper, his or her reason is ripened and he or she despises and relinquishes his or her infant thoughts, put them away, reject them, esteem them as nothing. A child’s speech is undeveloped, his understanding crude, and knowledge incomplete. The child’s attention is focused upon developing the skill of speech, coming to terms with truth and assimilating knowledge. When the child became adult, his or her speech becomes subject to his or her mind, his or her understanding tempered, and his or her knowledge complete. It is sad, total disgrace, to see a person striving, putting on childish folly, priding him/herself on the things of children- juvenile delinquencies, moving from truth- reality to falsehood, being in darkness and confused as he or she celebrates his or her birthday.
Paul, the apostle wrote again: “For the kingdom of God is not of meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17).  The Gospel dispensation is not about birthdays neither other holiday anniversaries, neither eating meats/ feasting, neither any other secondary issues of religious scruples. But the kingdom of God or Gospel dispensation is about righteousness, that is perfect uprightness in our daily Christian walk; one must judge him/herself using the Gospel; peace, that is perfect peace with God and fellow man- a consistent attempt to be a peacemaker of the brethren, and joy, that is perfect union and intimate love through the Holy Ghost- confer Matthew 5:6,9,10,12; 6:31

The apostle again wrote: “Meats for the belly, and belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them…” (1 Corinthians 6:13).  That is the natural demonstration of the law of mutual adaptation, illustrated by foods and digestive system. Stomach was designed by God to receive food and food was originally ordained to fill the stomach. It is inconvenient and specifically sad for one to be enslaved by his own belly, and in the process doing things contrary to the will of God. A time is coming when the human body will need no further recruits of food. Birthday cakes, foods, and wishes for long life will not bring out one’s righteousness before God. God will destroy birthdays, belly service slavery, and those involved. Jesus Christ rebuked Satan who tempted him to turn stones into bread, telling him, that: “It is written (that is Deuteronomy 8:3), Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). The designer of the stomach is much important than the stomach and the food needed to fill it. A person is very important than his or her birthday. Christ is very important than Christmas instituted in his honor. The Gospel needs a person, not his or her birthday. Christ told his disciples that: “I have meat to eat that ye know not of” (John 4:32). The source of bread is more important than the bread itself. God created the plants whose seeds are processed, milled and used in making bread. The birthday observers had decided to worship bread, one’s day of birth, to live by it, changing the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever (Romans 1:25). Every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God is his creative activity and indeed the strength of the Gospel. In Genesis 1, God only spoke (Let there be…) for things to be created. If God spoke for bread to appear, then it was Manna the way Israel experienced it under the guidance, leadership of Moses (Exodus 16:1-4, 12, 22-31; Numbers 11:7-9; Deuteronomy 8:3; Psalms 78:24; Wisdom of Solomon 16:20- Apocrypha). Alternatively, if God had not spoken of birthday, then there is no point, no value celebrating it. Birthday is nothing to a Christian. Birthday is nothing to Christ. Birthday is nothing before God. See also 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
Jesus Christ said: “…Ye must be born again” (John 3:7). He did not say one must celebrate his or her birthday. In other words, one must start over as a child of God, rather than growing into maturity in the life of darkness- a child of Satan proper. A wicked person, must have spiritual birth, otherwise he or she cannot become the child of God.  This spiritual birth must happen right here in the world for it is indicated in Hebrews 9:27, that “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this judgment.”  Paul the apostle wrote in Philippians 2:12-15 that: “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”

GOD OF ISRAEL, BLESS YOU ALL, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. AMEN.
